Immortelle or lat. Helichrysum italicum Is a Mediterranean plant that grows on sunny rockeries, high to 60 cm, with narrow leaves, and yellow flowers.
In my garden, I have it in abundance, just like in all areas. When you picked Immortelle flowers and mixed them with lavender flowers, you get a beautiful bouquet that is long-lasting and decorates your home. My bouquet lasts two years already.
Like its name says “immortelle” is giving you timeless beauty.
Immortelle needs to be distilled within 24 hours after harvesting. It is flowering in summer. From about 750 kg fresh Immortelle you can get 1kg of essential oil distillates.
Thanks to its composition, it acts regenerative to our skin! Immortelle is also mucolytic, spasmolytic, acting potent anti-inflammatory and antioxidant, anticoagulant, stimulates the hepatocytes, lowers cholesterol levels, showing analgesic activity. It is perfect for skin regeneration and hematomas.
In the past, Immortelle dried and crushed flowers people use to smoke in a pipe, to prevent an asthma attack.
Indications: treatment of hematomas, scars, stretch marks, skin allergies, atopic dermatitis, varicose and inflamed veins, thrombosis, cracked capillaries, sports injuries, keloids, psoriasis, rheumatoid arthritis. It also stimulates liver function.
For our skin, it is precious because it acts against wrinkles and revitalizes and regenerates tired and mature skin exposed to external and internal stress.
Here is a nice recipe for homemade anti-aging oil:
– Few drops of essential oil of Immortelle.
– 15 ml of vegetable oil of Argan, cold-pressed and unrefined
– 15 ml of vegetable oil of the fruit of the wild rose, cold-pressed and unrefined
– Close the bottle and mix well. (Buy 30 ml bottle).
This oil is highly nutritious and even after the first application the skin becomes more vivid and brighter. Apply it in the evenings.
I sure you that my skin looks fabulous after I started to use this oil.
